Warning: Keep Refrigerated

Simon | February 14, 2007

cake1.JPG

It was my birthday yesterday and I celebrated with a few friends at the karaoke.

The best part of last night has got to be when it came time to cut the cake. The first sign of trouble reared itself when I was trying hard to cut the cake but it wouldn’t give. It was like trying to cut a balloon filled with water with a blunt knife. When I finally managed to gut the cake, the inside of it was easier described with pictures rather than words.

There’s a lesson to be learned here. When you don’t keep your cake refrigerated, it will turn to shit. Literally.

Despite the cosmetic… errr… uniqueness of the cake, we still gobbled down most of it. Surprisingly, the cake has managed to be aesthetically horrid yet gastronomically pleasing.

Good shit indeed (no pun intended).

Go Fly a Kite

Simon | February 8, 2007

kite1.jpg

I received my Prism sports kite kit via the mail today. I can’t believe I actually need to import this from Australia because nobody sell it here locally. The surprising thing is, I didn’t get taxed by the custom. The package was sent directly to my house and I didn’t need to go to the post office to get harassed by the custom officer. Sweet.

This ain’t your run-of-the-mill kite that little kids play on the playground. This is a sports kite that can speed through the sky and do ton of cool stunts.

I can’t wait to test fly this baby by the beach.

Thanks for the Sick Leave, Mr. Virus

Simon | February 5, 2007

It seems like the virus that caused health havoc to a few of my co-workers last week had decided to pay me a visit as well. My body, not being a fan of viruses, had reacted with symptoms of fever, flu, sore throat, diarrhea and pain on every frickin’ part of my body.

I started feeling a bit funny on Saturday and everything just gone downhill from there. The damnedest thing is that this robbed me of my weekend. All I can do this past two days was to lay in bed and watch the ceiling.

I thought I could muster myself to go to work this morning but the damn virus decided to stay for another day. So I had to call in sick. Well, at least there’s no Monday blues for this week. Thanks for getting rid of Monday for me Mr. Virus.

And Mr. Virus, next time you decide to pay me a visit, do it on a weekday. Please.

Long Story Short

Simon used to think that he's got life all figured out.
He couldn't have been more wrong.
This is his blog, his story.
